Campaigns we are involved in
We add Yarra’s voice to a wide range of campaigns for action on the climate crisis and support them with local activities. Some of these include:
- A nation-wide, community-driven campaign for Australia to make the switch to 100% renewable energy.
No East/West tunnel – Yes to Doncaster Rail
- A campaign against the proposal to build an east-west tunnel and freeway through the inner north of Melbourne, and in support of a public transport alternative.
- Saving Melbourne’s food bowl from being turned into a brown coal mine.
- A global campaign that’s building a movement to unite the world around the solutions to the climate crisis – the solutions that science and justice demand.
- An Australia-wide campaign to protect our food and water supplies from the destructive coal seam gas and coal industries.
