We add Yarra’s voice to a wide range of campaigns for action on the climate crisis and support them with local activities. Some of these include:

100% Renewables/Build Big Solar

  • A nation-wide, community-driven campaign for Australia to make the switch to 100% renewable energy.

Stop HRL

  • A campaign to stop a new taxpayer-funded coal-fired power station being built in Victoria.

No new coal Bacchus Marsh

  • Saving Melbourne’s food bowl from being turned into a brown coal mine.

Clean up the banks

  • Greenpeace campaign to get Australia’s biggest banks to stop investing in dirty and dangerous coal.

  • A global campaign that’s building a movement to unite the world around the solutions to the climate crisis – the solutions that science and justice demand.

Lock the Gate

  • An Australia-wide campaign to protect our food and water supplies from the destructive coal seam gas and coal industries.

The Transition Decade Alliance

  • An alliance of  groups working towards achieving the necessary technical, economic and social changes for achieving a safe climate future.
